In 2023 Morris Property entered into exciting new territory: a two-year partnership with Shrewsbury Town Football Club as front of shirt sponsors. Our two organisations share a passion for Shrewsbury with our heritage and strong sense of family values. We feel we are two local institutions who have shown we know how to grow, to change and adapt in order to be successful.

Lower Heath CE Primary School and Prees CE Primary School children were invited to enter a competition earlier in the year to create artwork to showcase life in Shropshire in 2023.

Their winning entries were added to the time capsule with a range of items, including memorabilia from The King’s Coronation, the Lionesses World Cup achievements, a Barbie doll, the front page of Monday’s Shropshire Star. The stainless-steel capsule was buried at the heart of the development, which we will hand over to The Wrekin Housing Group in 2025.

From sponsoring community football teams to providing resources that enable schools to offer enriched learning opportunities, we are committed to enhancing experiences for young people in our community.

Sabrina Meek, one of our CSR team was delighted to meet Claire Purcell from SYA (Shropshire Youth Association) to hand over our £1,000 donation and hear all about the charity’s progress with their brand new building in Monkmoor, Shrewsbury.

We are active members of the Chamber enjoying the benefits of networking opportunities with our business community, sharing experiences and knowledge and taking part in many of their helpful training courses.

In 2019 in celebration of our 150^th year anniversary, we were proud to award a three-year Morris Scholarship at University Centre Shrewsbury (UCS) to Paige Eades who subsequently graduated with a first-class honours degree in Business Studies and joined our business in May 2022.

As part of our dynamic Marketing team today, Paige is our social media queen ensuring we engage with business and consumer audiences for the products and services we offer within the company.

For many years, we have supported this pioneering charity, providing funding and our professional time.  This Trust offers support for young people who are not in education, employment, or training but have ideas and ambitions for their future.

As founding members of their ‘ASYSTORS Panel’ we offer our time, advice and the funding to young people deserving an opportunity to set up their own business.  In the past 7 years we have seen and advised over 80 candidates and donated to many of these.
