Breakfast boxes launch ‘Winter Wellbeing’ campaign

We kicked off its Winter Wellbeing campaign today with the delivery of bespoke breakfast boxes to its construction sites and offices across Shropshire and Staffordshire.

Timed to coincide with Blue Monday – the so-called “most depressing day of the year” – the campaign aims to support hardworking staff during the challenging winter months.

Morris Property Construction Manager, Steve Flavell, emphasised the importance of prioritising mental health and wellbeing in the industry:

“With January traditionally being the most challenging time of year – particularly for those working in the construction industry – the importance of looking after mental wellbeing is in sharp focus. Our breakfast boxes are being provided to everyone for some welcome winter cheer, to signpost support, and most importantly, to encourage conversations and connections.”

A highlight of the campaign is a video with Senior Quantity Surveyor Alex Morris, one of Morris Property’s trained Mental Health First Aiders. Alex, who will run the London Marathon dressed as a Morris polar bear to raise funds for the mental health charity Mind, recently shared a message with colleagues. His words underscore the campaign’s goal to inspire meaningful conversations and connections that promote mental health and wellbeing across the workforce.

Morris Property is committed to fostering a supportive environment, particularly during the colder months when the challenges faced by construction teams are heightened. The Winter Wellbeing campaign is a key part of that effort, combining practical support with meaningful initiatives to support employee welfare.
