A warm welcome to Ukrainian solicitor
We were delighted to welcome Anstasiia Diachuk to our Welsh Bridge offices for a week’s work experience in the Legal department.
Anstasiia worked in Ukraine under the Ukrainian Law Association before moving to the UK six months ago. She learnt about our Company via a connection with Morris & Company Secretary & Group Solicitor, Lyndsey O’Loughlin, who invited her to come into the family run business for a week to learn more about UK legal practice.
Throughout the week, she has undertaken a variety of activities including being out on site with Morris Property, and at a photo shoot with the Marketing team at Marrington Hall. Anstasiia commented “It has been fascinating to see the variety of contemporary new buildings Morris Property have built around the region.”
One particular moment of interest for Anstasiia has been reflecting on the Company’s health and safety policies. She found it interesting to learn of the LifeWorks EAP offered at Morris, and to see how the Company supports employee wellbeing.
When asked about her experience at Morris, Anstasiia said “Everyone has been so welcoming and friendly which meant that I felt comfortable from my first day. I came to the UK to learn more about the differences in legal systems and terms, and I look forward to using my experiences here in the future.
The real highlight for me has been seeing the interaction between colleagues at Morris – it really highlights to me that this business has family values, and it felt like joining a large family for the week”.
